Ex-Carre's Student Gives Careers Talk

Charlie talked about careers in cyber security, technology, international politics and the Civil Service.

'I was a student at Carre's from 1994 to 2001.  If you do remember me, I’m certain it wasn’t because of my achievements in Design and Technology!
After leaving Carre's, I ended up with degrees in Geography and International Politics from Durham and Cambridge Universities and joined the Civil Service in 2009.
I’ve worked in the National Cyber Security Centre as Head of Incident Management; Foreign Office as Head of the Middle East, Head of International Cyber Governance, and in Oman as Political Counsellor and Regional Cyber Advisor.  I was also posted to Jordan and Cyprus with the Ministry of Defence, and I am now a Senior Civil Servant in the UK Health and Security Agency (the people responsible for “next slide please” during Covid) as their Head of Cyber Security and Chief Information Security Officer.
