To raise money for Red Nose Day, there will be a non-uniform day on Friday 24th March. Donations of £1 are to be paid on the day.
BBC News School Report News Day took place on Thursday 16th March; this year the Carre’s news reporters were working with BBC Radio Lincolnshire on a live broadcast of the station’s ‘Melvyn in the Morning’ between 9am and 12pm. Carre’s Grammar School is part of the Robert Carre Trust and is a highly successful grammar school in the market town of Sleaford. We are boys only in Years 7 to 11 and co-educational in the Sixth Form as part of the highly successful Sleaford Joint Sixth Form. We are pleased to have been graded by Ofsted as a Good school with Outstanding features in January 2013.
On Thursday, 16th March, BBC School Report Day, a group of students from year 7 were lucky enough to be given the chance to coâ€“ host the â€˜Melvyn in the Morning show from the English Department.
Tuesday 21st February saw Carreâ€™s Grammar School face Chesterton School in the U14 Dynamic National Schoolsâ€™ Competition, following their qualification as Lincolnshire County Basketball Champions.
Thursday 23rd February saw Carreâ€™s Grammar School face Nottingham Academy in the U12 Dynamic National Schoolsâ€™ Competition. This was the first year that Carreâ€™s had entered the U12 competition and the boys had been working hard in training.
